The Top 5 Fall Essentials You Must Have with Madewell

I am so happy it’s Friday and a long weekend at that! This is Joey’s Friday off so we have an extra long weekend and I cannot wait to hang out with him. We have both been so busy lately that it’s been difficult to spend quality time together, so I’m really looking forward to it. Also, I’m heading to New York for fashion week without him. I know that might not seem like a big deal to some of you, but I’ve never spent that much time away from him since before we were married.

September quickly appeared and before you know it, it will be Fall. It’s time to start prepping those closets for the crisp air with my top 5 Fall essentials with Madewell. It’s already starting to get darker in the mornings and much cooler in the evenings.

1. Classic Cargo Jacket-

A classic cargo jacket is an absolute must for Fall. It’s the perfect layering piece and really goes with anything. I am a huge fan of the lighter, army green color because to me, it’s a very neutral color. However, I’ve seen them in khaki and navy which would be great colors to own also. They are easy to top over a fun sweater or add a cute scarf.

2. Chambray

Another layering piece that is a must is a chambray. I have this light colored one as well as a darker version. They come in handy because I wear them over basics or you can dress them up a little bit with a blinged out necklace or under a cute sweater.

3. The Essential Tote-

I’ve had this tote bag for over a year now and I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I’ve received or express how much I love this bag. It literally goes with anything. It’s the perfect size for traveling and has really held up for the amount of distress I put on my bags. I actually have the Street Level version, but I’ve heard that this Madewell version is worth every penny.

4. Favorite Pair of Denim-

Everyone needs a good pair of denim for Fall that they just gush over. You know, it’s that pair when you are just cold and want to cozy up and be comfortable. It’s your tried and true pair of denim you can always rely on to fit properly. I have two styles I usually wear, so to update one of those, I opted for a boyfriend pair because I tend to be more relaxed and casual with my style in the Fall.

5. Booties– (30% off!!)

The last essential, and may be the most important of all essentials are booties. You NEED a pair of booties. I might actually justify needing 3 pairs of booties: a black pair, brown pair, and a suede pair. I wear booties with everything. I mean everything from skirts, shorts, dresses, and denim. They are THE FALL essential to have. If you only opt for one bootie, I would honestly go with a color like English Saddle in the Billie Bootie. This color actually goes very well with black and brown. If you pair it with black or darker colors it gives the look a really nice contrast.
