Summer Trends: Gingham Off the Shoulder Tops and Basket Bags
Bouncing into the weekend because it’s FRIYAY!! It is going to be a scorcher in Pittsburgh this weekend! In honor of this glorious heat and sunshine days we are going to get this weekend, I decided to share two of my favorite summer trends happening right now! Bring on all the gingham and basket bags! Have you seen these darling little baskets that are actually a purse?! I’m 100% obsessed. I’ve purchased two already! This one from Amazon for $25 and the one I’m wearing in these photos link below)! Of course, I’ve seen them get pretty pricey, but I think these two are winners in my book!
What are your favorite summer trends you’ve been seeing this year so far?!
Gingham Off the Shoulder (Obsessed with this ruffle one) // AG Denim Maternity (Non-Maternity Version 25% off and Budget Friendly Under $60!) // Tory Burch Bow Wedges (old) Similar here ($39!) and Similar Here // Basket Bag
So about this scorcher this weekend! I’m so excited! You probably RARELY hear me saying those words. It’s going to be sunny and in the 90’s! I cannot believe it! I’m definitely going to get some outside time, but I have a lot to do this weekend inside the house! If you saw on my instatsories, we started our kitchen reno, so everything from the kitchen is spread throughout the downstairs of our house. Plus we have baby packages coming in for the nursery. We have some major organizing to do this weekend. I’m hopeful we will get a good chunk of it done. Let me rephrase that… We need to get a good chunk of it done because I’m a little anxious about it right now!

It’s so funny, a couple months ago, I bought a rattan vintage bag (for under $10). It’s not a basket but it has this awesome clasp. I had no idea it was going to be popular this year though. So funny how circular fashion is. You look adorable. I’m loving your bump!

So, a long time ago, my mom sold Longaberger baskets. And they made this one basket purse. And I’d totally borrow it to sneak Dairy Queen into the movies with my bestie. LOLOL. (Cause it was like just big enough for two of the Moo-Latte’s to sit in and rigid so they wouldn’t fall over or anything and had a like fabric drawstring top so I could hide them). ALso – I’ve been way MIA from blog world lately with the wedding and all, but CONGRATULATIONS! Tia and Andrew are totally excited to have a little niece 🙂
Sidenote: guess I need to change my Discus name to Katy M. 🙂
