Style Social Pittsburgh: A Fashion Blogger Event
Style Social Pittsburgh teamed up with The Frick Museum and their Killer Heels exhibit a few weeks ago for our best fashion blogger event yet! I’m here to give you a little behind the scenes on this event.
First off, here is a little history of how we formed Pittsburgh’s first fashion blogger event group! I knew Kim from working at Nordstrom. Kim met Tori and Niki when they incorporated an official #StylishPittsburgh day. Kim and I were chatting one day and really thought it would be beneficial to have a meet up group with like-minded individuals. We knew we would have four people at least! That would be enough start a conversation. Luckily, Tori and Niki had the same thoughts so we started seeking out some other, local fashion bloggers. Little did we know this fashion blogger group would continue to grow and here we are today! Officially, Style Social Pittsburgh. Each event is centered around a theme. Our partnership with The Frick’s Killer Heels exhibit was a no-brainer for us and we certainly had some fabulous shoes show up to our event.
Our crafty Tori created this beautiful floral backdrop so we can show off our Killer Heels in an instagram contest. The winners walked away with some killer prizes thanks to our generous partners, Bronze Coconut Tanning, The Commoner, Emy Mack and Pure Barre we were able to give away two awesome prizes. Each guest also walked away with a bag full of goodies from Foot Petals, Essence Cosmetics, Catrice Cosmetics, Cutex and The Frick.
For a fun activity, the Art Institute of Pittsburgh’s Fashion Department made us cute little cookies we could decorate any way we wanted!
It’s safe to say these gals really enjoyed it!
Featured above was Tori and our new friend and blogger Anna from Hello Gorgeous who actually won our instagram contest with THOSE shoes! How amazing were they? She won
We just adore these two: Jessa (Wavy Alabaster) and Leslie (JuJuPGH)
When there is a mix of beautiful peonies and bloggers, you know we are all snapping photos! Our beautiful arrangements were made by Stems by Syd
