Spooky Halloween Playhouse Decorations
There’s a chill in the air, and that means Halloween is around the corner! I love how Charlie gets more and more excited about Halloween as she gets older. She’s been talking nonstop about what she wants to dress up as, and she’s been super into decorating around the house! One thing that we started doing last year is decorating her playhouse in the backyard to help her feel even more included in the spooky festivities. I realized that I never gave it the spotlight that it deserved, so here we are a year later. I’m guessing that this year, we will decorate it the same way (maybe with a few minor tweaks here and there), but I LOVE how it turned out! Here are our spooky Halloween playhouse decorations for some inspiration to decorate your kiddo’s playhouses, forts, or bedrooms!

Before we get into the decorations, how cute was our little witch?? I found an adorable black tutu and paired it with a long sleeve black leotard and ballet flats so that Charlie would be comfy and warm for trick-or-treating. The witch hat was another simple Amazon find, and the broom came from Target!

My favorite decoration is definitely the bats along the top. I positioned them so it looks like they are flying up past the house, and I strung some fake cobwebs behind them for an extra spooky effect.

I’m a big fan of themed door mats to make a house (or playhouse) look a little more festive! This Hey There Pumpkin mat is from Etsy, and Charlie loves it. I shared some other fall themed door mats in the “My Favorite Fall Decor” post from a few weeks ago, so be sure to check that out!

For the rest of the outside, I picked up some mums and of course, pumpkins of various colors and sizes. I also happened to have some faux fall leaves on hand, so I put them in these tin flower pots to sit underneath the playhouse windows. We finished everything off with a fall wreath on the little door, and Charlie was thrilled!
