Pittsburgh Week: The Bronze Coconut…
Obviously, we cannot forget to add my very favorite Pittsburgh boutique to my Pittsburgh Week! I’m stopping by to do a little shopping at the Bronze Coconut! I actually met Micah, the owner of Bronze Coconut, through a mutual friend. I had been looking for a place to get a spray tan and my friend, Mal, told me how cute this boutique was and they offer tanning/spray tans. The first time I popped into the store, Micah completely welcomed me and I felt as if I had known her for years. She is probably one of the sweetest people I know here and what a savvy little business mind she has. What could be better than getting a tan and doing a little shopping? I would say adding coffee to the mix, but she actually has a little Kuerig there too!
I love seeing the little displays Micah comes up with for accessories. They are always so creative! One of my favorite pieces that is in the store right now has to be this two piece top and bottom set. It’s chambray with polka dots! This would be perfect for a casual wedding, bridal shower, or a fun date night. I also love, love the color of this lavender dress.
—–> Cute display here of the shoes. I’m really obsessing over these pineapple delight shoes and the Blue Lagoon version of the Kaanas brand. Super comfortable and super cute and they are handmade!
Another darling display! Rings in the book pages?!?! Who would have ever thought of that?!
Surely, you’ve seen these Mar Y Sol totes. It always seems like Micah knows what’s trending even before it becomes popular. I was in the store a few months ago and was like I love these bags because I hadn’t seen anyone with them. Now, it’s a major trend and I’m seeing them everywhere. It’s probably time I join the club. 🙂
These distressed jeans are the perfect shade and just the right amount of distressing–they are also $46 which I think is very reasonable for this type of jean.
I mentioned the tanning portion of Bronze Coconut earlier. This is definitely one for the “locals only,” but if you find yourself in the area I highly recommend getting a spray tan. They last for about 2 weeks. I have such pale skin, I usually go with the light version, but there is also a darker version! I know the first thing that is popping in your head is, “but I don’t want to look orange or have a fake color.” I was on the same page as you- but look at me in the pictures. Do I look orange or fake? I don’t think so. I think it looks like I have a nice beachy, natural color. I feel so much better about myself with some color and the best part is I’m not damaging my skin or worrying about UV’s. Micah uses Norvell tanning solution and personally sprays the tan herself. I honestly find this the best way to get a spray tan because booths just don’t cut it. They miss areas because we are all shaped differently. Another bonus is the solution is paraben green, gluten free, and vegan. I’m actually heading in today for a tan so I’ll put a before/after on Instagram later today!
You all have heard of the brand Free People by now, right? I did a little intro here. It’s definitely a brand I always have my eye on. I’m even more excited that Micah sells it as well.
