Putting the Lucy IndiGo Activewear Line to the Test with Two Looks
*Thank You Lucy Activewear for sponsoring this post! As always, opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Afternoon Espresso.
Last week I introduced you to Lucy Activewear and their new line, Lucy IndiGO. I know I’ve said many times how particular I am about activewear. It has to be cute, comfortable, and functional. I knew that the Lucy IndiGO exceeded my standards on how cute it was, but this weekend I put this activewear to the test!! I wore my Lucy leggings to an Orangetheory Fitness class. If you’ve ever taken an OTF class, you’ll know this is the perfect tester. The results:
1. Cute-
We’ve already checked and double checked this off the list. Take a look at how I styled these two pieces from Lucy IndiGO: One for working out and the other for a date night!
2. Comfortable-
I would put the comfort level at 10 on a scale of 1-10. For me, part of being comfortable is also how I’m feeling in something. If I don’t feel like something looks good on me, then I don’t feel comfortable. The Lucy IndiGO line adds special contouring and shading in all the right places to optimize your figure, no matter what size you are, so you can work out in confidence. Extra confidence means extra energy to work harder!
The actual FEELING of these pants is pure comfort. They are perfectly stretchy enough so I don’t feel constricted. The high waist band (huge fan of those), is nice because it smoothes everything out on my midsection. Right now it’s perfect, because it also fits nicely right over my expanding belly so Baby P has some extra room!
3. Functional-
If you’ve never taken and an Orangetheory class, I highly recommend it, but just so you know you will work hard the entire class and you will sweat (a lot)! This is why it’s important to have functional clothing. I want activewear that absorbs my sweat so it doesn’t look like it’s soaking wet. With everyone’s busy schedules these days, you want to be able to leave the gym and run some errands, but not have to worry about looking like you poured a bottle of water over your outfit before leaving the house. That’s embarrassing. I tested out the leggings and they passed the test! I was able to toss on this cute Calia by Carrie Underwood jacket and head to eat a healthy breakfast with Joey after our workout. It’s become our Saturday morning routine!
4. Versatile
The other thing I find important about my work out gear is that it can be versatile. Although I will definitely say good work out gear is worth the investment, it is an investment. I want to get the most out of these purchases as I can. This is why I love athleisure. I’ve been tossing this word around the past couple weeks because it’s a trend I’m going to embrace! Below is an example of how I took the cutest pair of joggers and dressed them up for a date night with Joey! I was craving some sushi so we opted for Nakama and I thoroughly enjoyed the Spicy California Roll and Boston Roll (don’t worry there is nothing raw in these two rolls!)
Outfit 1: Lucy IndiGO Leggings c/o (Capri Version)// Calia Jacket // Printed Sports Bra ($14!) // Nike Sneakers
Outfit 2: Madewell Tee // BLANK NYC Jacket (similar here– on sale!) // Lucy IndiGO Joggers c/o // Kate Spade Pumps // Mansur Gavriel Bag // Black Aviators // Michele Watch

I love how you dressed up the joggers for date night. That’s like my goal in life- to be comfy and chic at the same time. I need it when running after four littles. Ain’t no one got time for fashion that hurts.

I love the white zip up and that blush jacket, both are so pretty!
