Leather and Buffalo Plaid…

How cute is this buffalo plaid skirt?? I think I mentioned before that I would be wearing lots of plaid (especially buffalo plaid) starting now.  

My initial thought was to pair this skirt with a preppy little sweater, but I wanted to force myself out of the box by creating a little more of an edgy look and pairing it with this faux leather jacket!

Black and white instantly make me think of adding pops of red, so it was a no brainer to add this quilted bag.  I’ve actually gotten so much use out this handbag.  Although, I’m still dreaming of the Chanel version, I’m very pleased with my Forever 21 version ($22).

How was your weekend?!  The weather is really starting to cool down here in Pittsburgh and I was so tempted to start some Fall projects and partake in some festive activities this past weekend.  It all sounded good, anyway.  We opted for a weekend at home.  I can’t tell you the last time we’ve had a weekend just to relax.  I did make pumpkin pancakes on Sunday morning, so that’s definitely Fall-like.
