Well hello there sunshines! How have you been? It’s been a while, eh? I took a little “blogcation” last week so I could get myself together, organized, and I still managed to have a million and one things to do. You know those times where you just feel overwhelmed and just too much going on all one time? That was me. Honestly, it still kind of is…I never realized how time consuming having a blog would be! It’s kind of like a part time job in itself and I can easily see myself spending at least 40 hours a week on it if I had the time. I’m certainly not complaining at all because I finally found something that I love doing. When you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work, and really… isn’t that the goal? So anyway.. after my long winded explanation as to why I needed a “blogcation” I am back at it and so excited for the upcoming things on Afternoon Espresso!
In the meantime… this is what I’ve been up to lately…
We managed to squeeze Disney into our lives and met up with my brother, Jen, and my two lovely nieces…. {Who can resist some time for family and Disney World??}
This cracked me up…
Joey in all his glory on his favorite ride- the Tea Cups
Too much cuteness going on right here!!
Posing with Princess Anna and Queen Elsa!
Soo magical!! I cannot get enough of this place 🙂
After Disney- we both got back into work- Joey’s school work has been insane for his summer classes, so we took an evening off and enjoyed a crawfish boil hosted by Joey’s work. If you haven’t been to one- add it to the list!
Caught up with Danielle over lunch and vino to hear all about her amazing honeymoon to Antigua.
Created a Pinterest inspired dish. Should I share this recipe?? It was so good and healthy! {Minus the cholesterol in the shrimp… I only had 3}
I have been officially named the Instagramer for the T.B.D. department of Nordstrom Pittsburgh, so I get to post cool stuff like this fabulous outfit on the weekly. {You can follow @nordstrompgh)
Sticking with a healthy theme… I discovered two favorites: Flavored coconut water and Agua Fresca–I’ll have to for sure share this recipe with you! The perfect summer drink.
Crafting with my favorite Cricut Cutting Machine so I can plan my dad’s big 6-0! We spent last weekend in West Virginia. Below are some pics from the party.
Then… to end the weekend… I had brunch with my bestie and spent some time with her two little cuties.
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to stop by and read 🙂 I hope you had a wonderful weekend ( and week last week)!
