Holiday Travel Essentials…
Next week is Thanksgiving, and we will certainly be traveling to visit our families! Today, I compiled together my must have Holiday Travel Essentialal for you since this is a big travel holiday! These essntials are the basics whether you are hopping on a plan or heading on a road trip!
My numbers are a little all over the place, so bare with me. I’m slowly learning Photoshop… like snail speed.
Be Cozy
The number one important thing for me when I’m traveling is being cozy. I want to just be comfortable rushing through an airport for an early flight or sitting in a car for several hours. My absolute favorite pair of leggings are the BP brand from Nordstrom. Currently they are 40%-{ I stocked up on two pair}. A cozy poncho is the perfect piece to wear over some leggings. If it’s really cold, you can layer this with a striped turtleneck to add a nice little pop. An additional layer is an oversized blanket scarf. Of course this is fashionable, but can double as a little blanket, too! The final comfort piece are a nice pair of Ugg boots. I couldn’t get over how cute these lace ones are!
Stay Hydrated
This is probably the number one most important thing to do! I know when I’m not drinking enough water I get the worst headache and I become very fatigued. It’s especially important to stay hydrated while flying because the humidity level is much lower than normal in an airplane. Here are some tips for doing so!
- Drink plenty of water. I usually opt for Smart Water because of the added electrolytes.
- Bring along a really good moisturizer. I’ve been using Fresh Seaberry Face oil because my skin gets so dry in the winter. I love it, but I dont recommend it for oily skin
- Don’t forget your favorite chapstick. I love Sugar by Fresh.
- Last, but not least, I am completely hooked on these Evian Facial Sprays. They are TSA approved for flying and I keep them in my handbag at all times. They are the perfect way to add moisture back to your face without messing up your make up and will give you a nice refreshed feeling! These sprays have been a lifesaver to my dry skin and one of my favorite trvel companions, now!
Beauty Touch Ups
After a nice car ride or hustling through an airport, I need to do a little touching up before arriving to our destination. In additional to the Evian Facial Spray, I like to add some brightening powder so my skin has a nice glow. I just tried the Becca Champagne Pop the other day and I’m in love! It goes with ANY skin type and color. It is currently in stock right now at Sephora, but I wouldn’t waste a minute before buying it! I always think adding some mascara really wakes up sleepy eyes. I’ve tried many different mascaras, designer and otherwise, and always come back to Cover Girl Lash Blast. It’s the perfect price and I love that I know it always works! My last little beauty secret is Batiste dry shampoo. More than likely I’m traveling in the morning and I dont have time to wash my hair, so this dry shampoo becomes my best friend!
Necessities
You can’t travel without a cute piece of luggage. That is a necessity. When I saw this buffalo plaid bag, it was love at first sight. This travel pillow is the cutest, and I take it everywhere with me. Also, if you are like me, I’m always doing something on my phone which means chances are my phone is going to die at some point, so I always keep my portable charger with me.
I hope this helps you in your upcoming travels!! Have a good weekend, and, as always, thank you for stopping by!!
