I am so looking forward to snuggling on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and getting lost in a new book this holiday season. Books are a really great holiday gift option for the book lover in your life. I, personally, love receiving them! It’s the perfect way to show someone you thought about their interests or came across something that reminded you of them to gift them a book you hope they will love! These are a few of the books on my reading list that I think some of my friends and family would enjoy, too!
Return to Virgin River by Robyn Carr
One of the books on my list to read next is Return to Virgin River. I was already a fan of this series from watching Virgin River on Netflix and have read a few other books by Robyn Carr. This is the perfect feel-good story to read this time of year and is such a good gift for any of the women in your life. Looking ahead to the new year, I’m feeling ready for a fresh start and this easy read adds to that with its story of new friends, new beginnings, and the magic of the Christmas season! I definitely want to read the rest of this series now, too!
As much as I love a love story, Pretending is the light-hearted, laugh-inducing novel we could all use right about now! The main character tries to move on after a traumatic heartbreak by pretending to be someone she’s not. Of course, everything that can go wrong does go wrong. I was getting Bridget Jones vibes from this book, so I have a feeling that I’m really going to enjoy this one. My friends would get a kick out of this, too! Grab this one for a stocking stuffer for your sister or mom.
Chanel Sisters by Judithe Little
This is the perfect story for the fashion lover in your life! This fictional tale is based on the real story of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel and her sister Antoinette. The story tells the earlier part of their lives and of all the hardships they faced before the Chanel we know today was created. From life growing up in a convent to defying the odds of WWI, these sisters’ courage and determination will inspire you, too. Chanel Sisters is available for preorder now! After I read this book, it would only make sense to purchase a Chanel bag, right?
One More For Christmas by Sarah Morgan
If you’re looking for those feel-good, holiday vibes, this is the book for you! One More for Christmas will add a little festive sparkle this season for any woman in your life that you give this to! This book is a heartfelt story of family, renewed relationships, and love to rescue the Christmas spirit. I think I’m going to save this for Christmas evening to settle down with after our family’s own festivities!
I’ll definitely be treating myself to these books and adding them to my Christmas shopping lists for my friends and family!
