Faux Leather Leggings: A Year Round Closet Staple

I am confessing my love today for a good pair of faux leather leggings. They truly are a year round closet staple. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you probably have noticed a theme when it comes to my clothing. I always try to find pieces that are wearable and versatile. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good statement or trend piece of clothing, but generally speaking, I like versatility. I like things I can wear multiple ways. Besides, it’s fun getting creative coming up with a new way to wear something you already own.
I bought my first pair of Spanx Faux leather leggings during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale several years ago. Anytime I talk about these leggings on my Instagram, I always get the question “Are they actually worth the money?” YES. They are. I’ve tried other brands that are less expensive and they either don’t fit the same, the faux leather wears off quickly, or they just don’t last as long. So in my opinion, yes, it’s worth spending a little more money if it means you are going to get to wear something more frequently and it lasts for years to come.
I wear my faux leather leggings all year long, but they get the majority of their wear during Fall/Winter/and Spring months. You can pair them with a cute crop top for some good ole’ summer vibes. I love to layer them and wear them with some sneakers and a casual sweatshirt, but you can easily dress them up with some booties and a cute sweater.
As far as sizing goes, I would say they run TTS. I’m wearing a size Medium which is standard for me. Because I’m 5’3″ I have the petite sizing and the length is perfect. The best part is that they are on sale right now and fully stocked!
