How to Edit Your Photos in Lightroom in 3 Easy Steps with Dreamy Presets
One of the things I used to really struggle with as a blogger was the photography and photo editing. I can’t stress the importance of having good photos on your website. Good photos really aid in snagging that brand collaboration you’ve wanted for so long or creating that consistent aesthetic that readers want to see. However, the thought of learning Photoshop was so overwhelming to me and even in Lightroom I had no idea what I was doing. I would spend hours and hours trying to figure out what I was doing only to end up with one photo that was horribly edited. It, now, only takes me less than 5 minutes to edit my photos.
Today, I’m going to spill my secrets on how to edit your photos using Lightroom in 3 super simple steps with Dreamy Presets. Using these presets will save you a ton of time and eliminate a lot of anxiety!
Before/After
First off, what is a Lightroom preset? It’s predetermined set of adjustments that you can make in Lightroom. What this means is you can edit one photo in honestly seconds, and then you are off to doing the more creative things you love. Dreamy Presets offers several types of presets that you can choose from to match your aesthetic you are aiming for. For my photos in this example, I used the Santorini Preset Collection.

- Step 2.
- I clicked Skin Glow Level 1 – This adds softness to your photos while still retaining sharpness.
- Step 3.
- I made a few small changes using the Saturation and Hues slides. I wanted to bring out the colors in the background and make them a little more vibrant so I increased the orange and green hues.
