It has truly been so much fun watching Charlie grow, change, and watching her mind develop over the years. There are so many times where I can see her brain just spinning and taking in the world around us. Amongst the continually changing world of parenting, one thing that has not changed is our goal to maintain a natural, healthy nutrition plan for Charlie as she grows up. We recently tried Complete Nutrition Drink for Toddlers and Babies (12+ Months) and started putting It In a Dairy Free Smoothie recipe for Charlie! We think it’s important to instill good nutrition early on in hopes that this will stick throughout her life.
The Complete Nutrition Drink for Toddlers and Babies (12+ months) by Else Nutrition is an organic, non-gmo, plant-based formula that is derived from three key ingredients: almonds, buckwheat, and tapioca. These ingredients are minimally processed, meaning that they do not use the chemical altering process that usually occurs in dairy and soy-based products. This means more nutrients and vitamins for Charlie to help her grow! Better yet, it is dairy free, gluten free, soy free, and corn syrup free!
Charlie actually eats a pretty well rounded diet most of the time, but there are times where she just gets finicky. Joey and I were thrilled to find that she liked the Complete Nutrition Drink for Toddlers and Babies (12+ months), and we could easily incorporate it into her diet as a substitute for cow’s milk, especially on those “finicky days”. I feel like I’m always doing so much research to ensure that we are giving Charlie the tools she needs to grow up as a well-rounded kid (I may go a little crazy sometimes, but isn’t that the case for most moms?), This new beverage seemed like a great choice! Something else really neat about this product is that it contains the same fatty acid profile as that in breast milk, making it an easy and nutrient-rich transition from breast milk after your toddler’s first birthday.
The drink is delicious enough by itself. (Yes, I actually tried it!) Charlie’s favorite way to enjoy it is in one of her smoothies with her Daddy. Joey actually started this little tradition of making smoothies with Charlie. It’s a fun and easy way to get Charlie involved with helping, too! Here is Charlie’s favorite smoothie recipe:
