Darling Lemons for date night….

Maaaaannnnnn that’s one of my favorite nights of the week! 

Why, you ask? Oh what a lovely question! Date night is one of my favorites because I get to get all dolled up. I put on a crap ton of makeup, fix my hair, bleach my teeth, and shave my legs. 

Now your next question – why do I put in all that effort?

Let me tell you right now – it sure is NOT for a damn man…Okay that’s a lie – it’s partly because I want to look good for my man. But for the most part it’s for ME! When I go out – specifically on date night – I like to own it. 

I want to feel good about myself. 

I want to feel confident. 

I want to know without a doubt that I am the hottest, baddest chick in the room. 

Now don’t get me wrong, it’s important to feel good about yourself all the time – but it’s just not realistic to be the hottest, sexiest woman allllll the time. You have to agree that you put the extra effort in on certain nights – like GNO (girls night out), date night, party party weekends. BUT on the day to day I just don’t have the time, I still take the time and apply makeup – but on the day to day I stick to my easy ten minute makeup routine and a friendly bun. Get what I am sayin’ here?

So for those special nights I make sure my legs are smooth as silk, my eyebrows are filled and plucked, and that I have flawless makeup application. Specifically, for date night, I like to wear my hair straight and silky. I want smooth, frizz free, tangle free, EASY, hair. To achieve this I use MoroccanOil, Beauty Protector, 12 Benefits, J. Beverly Hills Mousse, and Amika Bombshell Blowout Spray. I know it sounds like a lot – and yeah it kind of is, but it’s totally worth it. My hair always looks good when I use these products! 

For my makeup routine I use Benefit Oxygen Foundation, Benefit Fakeup, the Naked palette, Rimmel bronzer, MAC blush, MAC gel liner, MAC brow filler, Manna highlighter, and Maybelline Falsies mascara. For my lipstick – I just grab the tube that’s the pinkest, most red tube around. I like to do a nice smokey eye, with a lightly winged liner.
