3. 1. Velvet Everything- 

   1. I’m kind of going crazy over velvet this season.  Velvet used to remind me of those Juicy Couture  Joggers or those pants that had wording on the bottom. You know what I’m talking about.  Velvet has come a long way since then and I’m completely obsessed.  On my list to purchase this year is a velvet bag, booties, and a blouse.  I went crazy over these Stuart Weitzman blush shoes but I don’t think I can justify the price!!

2. Romantic Details

Next on the list are romantic details.  You are going to find very feminine shirts and blouses this year.  There will be lots of bell sleeves, off the shoulder tops, and dainty details like high neck collars or little ruffles on sleeves.  You’ll also find large ruffled statement pieces as well!

3. Mules

Give me all of the mules, please!  I’m going to kind of call this #momlife fashion because heels just aren’t going to happen for me in the near future.  The other reason I love mules is because my clothing tends to be more casual and cozy during the Fall and Winter months anyway and I think a good pair (or few pairs) of mules are the perfect accessory.  You can also grab a dressy pair with a heel!

4. Statement Outerwear

I’ve seen some crazy statement outerwear lately.  Crazy like bright orange, faux fur, oversized coat.  Maybe you can pull it off, but I know I cannot.  That doesn’t mean there aren’t other statement outerwear pieces that I can’t wear.  I found some really adorable pieces- all on sale below!

5. White Boots

White boots are popping up everywhere these days.  I mean, everywhere.  Don’t worry, you can wear white after Labor Day.  I crushed that myth in this post here.  To tell you the truth, I’m not 100% on board yet.  I think this is a trend that is going to take some warming up for me.  Free People is styling the white boot trend flawlessly, though.   What are your thoughts on the white boots?

These days it’s so interesting picking out my clothing because not only am I trying to embrace the trends, I have to keep in mind that I’m nursing a little one.  Trendy and functional is the goal.
