Congratulations Graduate….
Congratulations to my Graduate, Joey! Here is my little weekend recap. My second party is check marked off the list, and this one was very special to me because I couldn’t be more proud of my husband and all of the hard work he has put into getting his MBA. The last two years have been rough at times trying to manage a full time job, normal life, and obtaining his MBA but without a doubt in my mind, he has succeeded. I truly believe in celebrating life’s events, so of course, I had a party! We really had a good time enjoying our friend’s company and couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather. It was the first time cooking for a crowd for me {and it was, indeed, a lot of work} but everything turned out well.

I love decorating with a theme, but I always try not to go overboard and make it too “cheesy.” I thought the backyard bbq theme would be fitting, but I wanted it to have a twist.
The popcorn bar was an absolute hit! The cute barrels and burlap went along with the bbq theme.
One of my requirements for every party is fresh florals. Even if you don’t go completely overboard (it’s not a wedding), I think they really add something special. I always get my florals from Costco because they are such a good price and are always beautiful. The other little touch that I think make the world of difference at parties is using linens. I know that these sound like they can get super pricey, but once you buy them, you will have them on hand for years to come. A friend of mine told me about Linen Tablecloth a while back and it’s my go-to for linens. You cannot beat the $7 economy price. They are a good quality. Just do not try to buy them during wedding season because they will likely be out of stock. Here is another post I did with fresh florals and tablecloths from Linen Table cloth.
Aren’t these burlap bow darling? I put them on each of the three tall cocktail tables. I actually wish I had more pictures to show you, but I was so busy I had to just snap a few and get back to work!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I’ll be back on Wednesday to tell you about this awesome fitness challenge I’m starting today, actually!
