Christmas Eve Traditions
Good Morning everyone! It is officially Christmas week! Can you believe it?? We went to West Virginia over the weekend where we had all of our family Christmas parties. Now, it’s just Joey, Bentley, and me! It’s our first Christmas Eve in our house so we are going to start some Pletcher Family traditions this year.
1. A Charlie Brown Christmas will definitely be on our television along with some other favorites Elf, A Christmas Story, This Christmas, and It’s a Wonderful Life.
2. Milk and Cookies for Santa, of course! This is my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe.
3. Homemade hot chocolate with home made marshmallows ( yes- this is very important because there is NOTHING like homemade marshmallows. Trust me, it’s worth the extra mile) Here is the recipe I use for marshmallows and hot chocolate.
4. Cute Pajamas are a must. I love getting cute PJ’s and let’s be honest- it’s the only time of year I can get my husband wearing a matching pajama set. He’s not into the whole matchy matchy sets for sleeping. Her: Nobody’s Perfect and Red Bottoms Him: Henley and bottoms
5. Lots of snuggling by the fire and tree with a cozy blanket!
6. A Christmas Eve gift to open… hmmmm what will it be???
Now, it’s time for all of those last minute things today! Good luck getting everything finished!
