My 5 Minute No Makeup, Makeup Routine Video with Perricone MD

5 Minute No Makeup, Makeup Routine

1. Moisturize-
I always, always moisturize my face when I wake up in the morning. We are getting into dry season for my skin plus add that to all my crazy hormones and I need a good moisturizer. I’ve been using this moisturizer which was recommended from a friend and I’ve been hooked every since.

2. Primer-
This is the step you don’t want to miss, but far too many people don’t actually prime their face! The beauty industry is raving about Perricone MD’s No Makeup Instant Blur primer and I was so excited to get my hands on it. There are several reasons why priming your face is a good idea:
- It smoothes out pores to make them appear smaller
- Fills in fine lines and wrinkles
- Helps your makeup stay on longer
- Reduces the look of redness
- As you can see from my before photo- I have all of these issues right now and I was so excited to find a primer that actually did all of the above instantly, but using the No Makeup Instant Blur over time will help decrease the appearance of these issues as well! Scroll down below to see the final result!

4. Eye Primer-
Just like you prime your face, you prime your eyelids as well! I like to use this primer because it’s affordable and also adds a slight color to my eyelids.

5. Basic Eyeshadow-
I only use the neutral colors from this eyeshadow palette to create my no makeup, makeup look for a few reasons. I want to give my eyes some color, but I also don’t want to spend a ton of time blending, blending, and more blending. I use the Heaven all over my eyelid, the Silk Teddy under my eyebrow, and the Nudie for the crease of my eyelid. Because these are all neutral I keep it simple by using one brush and can apply it rather quickly because I’m not worried about separating all the colors and blending a certain way.

6. Under Eye Highlight Concealer-
This is a definite must have because, well, major tired eyes! This is by far my favorite concealer I’ve ever used. I get it one shade lighter than my skin color so it gives a brightening effect under my eyes. These days, I’ve been putting it on pretty thick.
7. Powder Foundation-
I opt for a powder foundation because it’s way less fuss than a liquid foundation. It’s super simple to put a light layer of powder on your face by blending with a kabuki brush.
8. Fill in Eyebrows-
This is a step that could definitely be eliminated if you are ever so lucky to have good brows. For me, it really helps shape my face because I have such light colored and thin eyebrows, so I typically don’t skip it! I use this eyebrow pencil because it’s complete affordable and not something I really think is worth a splurge.
9. Mascara-
Don’t skip the mascara. It takes just a few seconds to put on and makes a world of difference. My friend Brianne has this awesome routine for your lashes. For today’s purpose, I’m using this mascara, but another holy grail favorite is this one for a more affordable option. I actually use both and switch them up constantly.
10. Put Some Glow on It-
I love the look of shimmery, glowing skin so I use this highlighter to really bring out my features like my cheeks and nose.
