I think it’s safe to say that we are in the homestretch of this pregnancy! We are 36 weeks! I don’t know whether or not to jump for joy or start panicking! I’ll get to more of that below with a little bumpdate! First, I wanted to show you a little sneak peek of some adorable nursery decorations we are starting to incorporate!
It is not in my nature (at all) to do anything last minute. It was my vision to have this nursery complete two months ago! By now I would be waiting for Baby P to arrive. Well, that is 100% not the case. In fact, we hardly even started it! <Insert a lot of indecisiveness> I am happy to say that we finally are getting a vision thanks to Mouse + Magpie, a child inspired, adult curated collection of delightfully designed products and furnishings created specifically for little people with big imaginations.
Mouse + Magpie is so kindly offering 25% off your entire order with code: WHIMSY until August 4th so be sure to check out all of their collections!
Nursery Sneak Peek
I have a feeling this little reading nook is going to be my favorite place to hang out with Baby P! It was my goal to create this cozy little space where we can sit together reading books about travel, fashion, and everything in between! I really wanted a little space where we can just dream together and bring our books to life with our imaginations! When I was little I always had this interest in traveling. I would imagine what it would be like to visit and wonder the streets of other countries. Now that I’ve been able to do quite a bit of traveling myself, I hope this is just one way we can spark that little imagination of our Baby P!
Be sure to visit Mouse + Magpie to see their other whimsical collections, all curated by international artists to create these one of a kind pieces to encourage imagination in the hearts of your little ones! You can easily shop an entire collection that includes a lamp, framed art, clock, throw pillow, and sherpa blanket.
Don’t forget that Mouse + Magpie is so kindly offering 25% off your entire order with code: WHIMSY until August 4th! For more nursery decorating ideas you can follow Mouse + Magpie on Instagram!
I hope you enjoyed our little nursery sneak peek! I can’t wait to show you the final reveal! Now, onto the 36 week bumpdate!
36 Week Bumpdate
Wow oh wow! 36 weeks has come and gone in a blink of an eye. I cannot believe it! People always say enjoy it because time flies. I 100% believe that! The last 36 weeks, we’ve learned so much, but we know this is only the beginning of this journey through parenthood.
- 1. How are you feeling?
I get this question a lot lately. My response is typically, “Pregnant. Very Pregnant and all that comes with it.” The nights have become increasingly more difficult to get comfortable and to get sleep. Fortunately, I’m able to have a flexible schedule during the day so I can take naps. In fact, last week I was taking photographs of a bunch of products for the Anniversary Sale and after each little set, I had to sit down for about 10 minutes to rest! The struggle is real!
2. Weekly Doctor’s Appointments
The weekly visits to the doctor have begun! So far, so good. Last week, I was a bit anxious about it all which made my blood pressure read a little high. The doctor wasn’t concerned because I explained how anxious I was, so hopefully this week it will read normal again.
3. What workout?
It’s official- I had to give up my Orange Theory workouts. It was becoming too much on my body with everything that is changing right now. I gave myself a rest from all working out last week, but I plan on getting back into some very light weights this week and some walking. The one advice I will give to anyone who is expecting is to be sure to listen to your body during pregnancy! It will tell you what you need and when you are overdoing it! Don’t miss those cues.
- 4. Diet?
- Ehhhh… I’ve been slacking a little in this department. I felt like I was really doing well for most of the pregnancy, but the last few weeks I’ve been stressing a lot about things. I know it’s horrible, but I’m trying to manage it. Anyway, I stress eat, so that’s what I’ve been doing. My goal is to get back on track this week, but I sparked a mac and cheese craving that’s going to be hard to kick! The next few weeks, I cleared my schedule and our focus is relaxing and finishing the nursery and hopefully eliminate some of this stress!
